WEEK SIX: Trim Time!
You’re back, yay! It’s Week 6 of the One Room Challenge™! Did I skip week 5 in some ways? Yes. I was about to write my blog (super last minute) and my 2 dogs got a hold of a caramel chocolate apple and consumed enough to where a panic ensued and I was legit one minute late on uploading. There you have it. Both dogs threw up chocolate several times and are both doing well now. Whew. I definitely should have done the trim first, but I knew it would take me forever to pick a trim and a color, which is exactly what happened. It does not match the rest of the space, but that is okay. I am just glad I finally made a decision. Fact about me: I can take a long time to make decisions and will sometimes go to great lengths to figure something out. So, I visited lowes several times before landing on the trim I landed on. It really does tie a room together though and I’m glad I had some awesome helpers this weekend.
If you missed out on the Jungle Vibe, here you go: Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4

RANDOM SHOPPING
I bought some random things in hopes that I’ll be able to find some things I enjoy in this room. Things I purchased (just in case) I got 2 different rugs because I couldn’t decide, a Disco ball planter, Pillows, jungle fabric, a blanket, and I went curtain shopping.
IT’S DOWN TO THE WIRE
Finishing up some trim goodness tonight. I will tell you what I did to cut a corner and maybe it wasnt the best idea. I appreciated buying the MDF board that was already primed for paint, and I super did not mind the white color. I mean it’s bright, and it looked lovely so I was like cool, I dont have to paint. So originally I cut those and popped them onto the wall….but then you realize that you semi-should care because now there are ugly holes in the trim that have to be covered and you want it to match. Sooooooo I was going to just try and find the best white color to match the color they already were, well I tried. It lead me to oxford white. Now I can fill the holes and paint them a color that sorta matches. My cutting the corner trick on the trim was a no go. I liked the white it was, but then I didn’t want ugly holes so it forced me to go find a dang color anyway.
Now it’s time to go super fast and see what can be done when you are under the gun on time.
